This is a narrow foot used with coverstitch needles only. It is much easier to see the fabric feeding through up to the needles as it is not as wide as the standard foot. This foot allows the fabric to flow more freely and efficiently when hemming, particularly useful when hemming knit fabric. It is used well in combination with the fabric guide ensuring accurate and consistent width hems.
